Career scholars is an after-school program that provides career awareness to school age youth.
Youth will learn the ends and outs of their career choices, have an opportunity to role-play and use their imagination as if they were on the job through stimulating activities.
Career Scholars Program is designed to get inner city youth excited about working toward their future goals. They will learn the ends and outs of their career choices, have an opportunity to role-play and use their imagination as if they were on the job through stimulating activities.
Career Scholars provides and assist youth with education and career planning in a structured, safe, and relaxed atmosphere, where they can complete homework, explore different careers, and solve problems together. Our after-school program provides a nurturing environment that promotes social interaction, community integration, physical development, and intellectual growth. Youth receives essential career training skills to ensure their success for the future. Youth will build confidence, character, and realize their full potential.
Our program is great way for youth to enhance their academic skills while at the same time improving self- esteem, social skills and emotional skills, while building a long term, life changing relationships with the community, and other youth(s).
Many inner-city children rely on school meals but when school is out the overwhelming majority of youth don’t get to eat healthy snacks or dinner at home.
Career scholars offers healthy snacks and dinner every day after school during program hours. Families in programming will also get the opportunity to learn how to prepare healthy, affordable snacks and meals at home.
